Product Description
AISI 1050 is a high-carbon cold-rolled steel with a carbon content of approximately 0.50% that can be hardened by heat treatment to a maximum hardness of approximately Rockwell C 58. Soft annealed high carbon steels are suitable for applications requiring moderate forming, while soft spheroidizing annealing is suitable for applications requiring moderate forming. Products are suitable for applications requiring maximum cold forming. Soft spheroidized annealed products are processed to provide the lowest hardness for maximum formability. This steel is used in the manufacture of blades, brackets, brake discs, clamps, clutches, springs, washers and gears and has a wide range of applications that take advantage of its favorable combination of mechanical properties.
